Off To A Good Start

Since the weather has warmed up a bit, we've been planting lettuce, onions, potatoes, peas, spinach, and broccoli. We're really excited about this new year as we are hoping to be able to plant 5 acres of vegetables. The challenges are large, but we are off to a good start.

We now have a few openings for CSA members, so if you are interested, you'd better hurry as we just signed up two new members this week. Our plans are very user friendly and allow you to pick and choose what you want and when you want in the amount you want. Our plans range from $200-600 and offer a savings of 10-20% depending on if you make one, two, or three payments. Just call Brad at 840-1571 or email to bradgray1@gmail.com if you have questions, or want to discuss a membership.

Besides the Fair Grove Farmers Market, we are also planning to attend The Greater Springfield Farmers Market located at the mall on Tues, Thurs, and Saturday mornings 8:30 am till noon. This market opens April 10th. We hope to be offering some tulip, daffadil, hosta, day lilly, and hyacinth plants on opening day. It won't be too long before we will have lettuce, onions, and radishes. We are also planning to attend the new Christian County Farmers Market in Ozark, C-Street Farmers Market on Commercial Street, and possibly the Wilson Creek Farmers Market located in Battlefield.

So with all these markets to go to, we're going to be busy. But we always have time for anyone wanting to learn about growing their own food, so come see us at one of the markets we attend and ask us anything you want to know. Although we still consider ourselves amatuers, we do have some experience. Hope to see you soon.
